London calling!

Every year, NIELSTORP+ architects take a trip abroad to see what's going on out there. In previous years, the journey has gone to Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Milan and New York to name a few, while this year's inspiration was added to London.

We are currently working a lot with urban development and rehabilitation and transformation projects all over Norway and in that context it is incredibly exciting to see how this type of challenge is now being solved in other countries.

With a tight program over three days of city walking from Kings Cross, Camden Town, Shoreditch and to the City, we saw a number of projects with varying sizes, programs and functions and in several places we were introduced to the designing architects. Special thanks to Anita Howard from AHMM and Amin Taha from Groupwork for incredibly interesting lectures and tours about their projects.

In addition to professional replenishment, the trip also had a nice social aspect with good lunches, dinners and a beer or three:)

We are already looking forward to next year!
